Petition updateForce Colorado Springs to Repair the Barr Trail

PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION!

COS Land Swap
Sep 27, 2018

Here is the most recent email that I sent to the City and the media:

Hello,

What is the estimated cost of the needed repairs on the section of the Barr Trail that we acquired in the land swap?

If I recall correctly that land was appraised at about $1.3 million. We know that the City of Manitou Springs has spent over $200,000 on that land over the last several years. I can testify that this work has not put a dent in the problems on that trail. Sources have told me that it is estimated that the trail still needs between $500,000 and $1,000,000 worth of repairs. If this is true, the appraisal submitted by the Broadmoor cannot be valid.

Are we to believe that the City has not consulted with Timberline Landscaping, Mayor Ken Jaray, or Rocky Mountain Field Institute about the needed repairs?

I will ask and ask until you answer the simple question. Please tell us: what is the estimated cost of the needed repairs on the section of the Barr Trail that we acquired in the land swap?

You have no just cause to refuse to answer this question.

 Thank you, Carl Strow
