Finding a pet-friendly flight is much more complicated than it should be. Unclear fees, inadequate transparency, and a lack of clear policies for transportation between countries make it complicated to travel with pets.

Moreover, airlines often require you to book a flight first and then call them to check if it’s possible to bring your pet along, which really should be the other way around.

Furthermore, there are numerous reports of animals receiving injuries, getting lost or, worse, dying during transportation due to a lack of care and responsibility on the airlines' part.

Airline do not provide dedicated space  for small pet, making the journey stressful for both the pet and owner. And bigger pet, are force to be transport as cargo making them, according to the EU court, as valuable as a luggage.

Countries like Italy have already taken steps in creating flights where the cabin is open to all size pet. The transport of animals should be about the well-being and the best way to do it is to create clear pet-friendly flight. 

We urge airline companies to take responsibility and create pet-friendly flights clearly identified on their websites. Airlines must allow pet owners to book a dedicated seat for their pets in the cabin and ensure that the process is transparent and straightforward. This will guarantee the comfort of the animals, the owner, reduce the delay due to broken cage, and insure that no owner will ever lose their animals due to the lack of attention of the airlines staff.
