The Issue

As a voter, I find it incredibly frustrating when questions directed at the Prime Minister during Prime Ministers Question Time are not answered satisfactorily. Even when I don't agree with the line of questioning, it's vital for the health of our democracy that those in positions of power, including the Prime Minister, provide clear and direct responses. This is what Prime Ministers Question Time is all about: ensuring transparency and holding our leaders accountable.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a disturbing trend where certain individuals manage to evade straightforward answers, undermining the very purpose of this integral process. Elected officials are meant to represent the electorate and engage with their concerns, not dodge them. Without appropriate answers to our questions, our ability to make informed decisions and participate meaningfully in democratic processes is severely hampered.

I propose that if the prime Minister does not satisfactorily answer a question during Prime Ministers Question Time, then the House should hold them accountable. They must be required to return to the box and provide a better, clear response. Enforcing this accountability measure would not only enhance the efficacy of this powerful democratic tool but also raise the standards of political discourse and transparency in our country.

I call upon the relevant authorities to review and reform the workings of Prime Ministers Question Time, ensuring that any evasive behavior is systematically addressed and corrected immediately. Please join me in demanding transparency and accountability from our leaders by signing this petition. Together, we can strengthen our democracy and ensure that our voices are heard and respected.
