For private land to be use for animal rescue

For private land to be use for animal rescue
The Issue
In Sparta, Ga many animals are in need of rescue & adoption. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. By allowing the use of private property for an animal rescue we could significantly reduce the numbers locally as well as significantly contribute to alleviating this problem in the state.
The petitioner proposes to use their property as a safe haven for these animals in need. The initiative will not only provide shelter but also create opportunities for these animals to find loving homes. The petitioner is a 501c3 Non-profit Organization that is dedicated to helping our furry friend in need but also promoting responsible pet ownership in the community.
We believe that our community can make a difference by supporting this cause. It’s time we take action and help those who cannot speak for themselves – our furry friends deserve a second chance at life. However local regulations currently are preventing such usage of private property and are trying to enforce unnecessary fees and special usage permits. Costing us not only months more delay but S1000’s more in fees. With your support we can change this regulation and create the much-needed safe haven for these innocent creatures.
We urge you to sign this petition and help make a more compassionate Hancock County that is safer for all its residents – human or otherwise. Your signature can bring about the change needed to save countless lives & make sure every animal has a home.
