Hold Town Of Biggar Accountable. **Animal Cruelty**

THE TOWN OF BIGGAR SASKATCHEWAN employees are instructed and paid to dump cats, with prejudice, outside of town limits. Alive, alone, lost, around predators and the cruel elements of mother nature and society.***
Brief Overview Direct from TOB site.
Help hold Saskatchewan Municipalities Acountable!
Last weekend my cat Frankie never came home. I take my part of the blame allowing her to roam. Ontop of the fact that she is not only licensed, I would have happily paid the running at large fine. But I never got the chance.
Initially I just thought maybe she was locked in someone garage over night or maybe snuck into the neighbour's house before they left for the weekend.
I put up a Facebook post all over the rural area (Biggar, SK) where I live. Then printed off 100 posters and posted them all up and down mainstreet businesses.
After I put up the posters I received an anonymous call. The person who called told me that she (frankie) was humanely trapped (100% fine that is the right of property owners) the family who trapped her brought her to the town under the understanding they took proper care and responsibility for these strays/cats at large. Which is pretty standard right? Vet or Town Office if you can't hold the cat yourself (or don't want too. Again I respect that.)
WELL to my surprise,
Biggar Town Office not only does NOT
- HOLD THE ANIMAL (FOR ANY AMOUNT OF time)
- Refuses to acknowledge that microchips are a regular/legal/standarf form of identification (because collars break?)
- They themselves do not have a microchip scanner (I was told its the way of the "future")
- They do not bring cats to Biggars "technical" pound (the vet clinic that would scan for a chip)
- Post a photo
- Have or keep paper work or paper trails. In regards to cats they have caught, what they do with them, where they were relocated. NOTHING.
And the worst part of knowing they don't try is knowing that they out right participate in theft/animal cruelty/blatant disregard for humans and animals, and bullying someone with a known disability and banning her from public areas.
BY THIS I MEAN THAT THEY THROW AWAY. THEY TAKE THEM 5-10 MINUTES OUTSIDE OF BIGGAR (FOR THE RM TO DEAL WITH) AND LEAVE THEM OUT, ALIVE, AND ALONE IN A DITCH FOR THEM TO SUFFER.
I will be attaching an 8 minute audio clip of Amanda Flasch who works for The Town of Biggar confirming they "relocate" cats.
