Hi Sir, 

With immense sorrow I am writing this petition.

Police verification for my passport application was started on last 25th (Its been 23 days so far). I went to Sreekaryam police station (Trivandrum, Kerala) on 28th last month and had given all the verification related papers. More than 15 days passed, and still my passport application status is showing as Pending police verification. When the police verification is supposed to be completed by 15 days, why in my case it has taken such a long time. I am neither a criminal nor a smuggler. Today, I just went to the police station and I am informed that the papers not yet moved from Sreekaryam police station. Its still with the person who took my verification and it hasn't moved a step further (not even to the writer), He is keeping all the related papers and sleeping on it.

 If our police department is taking a month to complete the identity verification a common man, then there is a serious flaw in the efficiency of it. Or there are some people in department who are not ready to do their duty with out fail.

Sir, if this process got delayed just because of that I didn't gave 500 Rupees to police person who took my verification, then I am so sorry sir, its my mistake and I am ready to suffer for it. (He has literately asked me money, I refused.)

Sir, will there be a day in which this country runs without bribe.
