Dear friends,

Last night in Hungary we saw AGAIN that racism is alive and kicking in football. It’s time for us to redouble our efforts. The key question is what will football’s governing bodies REALLY do about prioritising anti-racist action in football? Our petition is 1.2 million people strong, and we want to harness our collective voices to deliver action to fight racism at home and abroad. 

Click here to tweet the FIFA, UEFA and the FA and help us demand accountability and change from all who govern football. Footballing authorities must be told not to let bureaucracy to stand in the way of action.

At home, the new football season has started, and this Sunday, England play at Wembley for the first time since the Euro final defeat against Italy and the shameful racist abuse directed at our three young Black footballers, Rashford, Saka and Sancho. 

There has been a lot of talk and not enough action. Our meetings with the Football Association (FA) have not delivered the progress we want to see. 

Take action today to make sure racists are banned from matches, tech companies rid their platforms of racism and racists, and the government integrates these concerns into the Online Harms bill without delay.
