Recognise Alliums (onion and garlic) as a food allergen to be contained on food labelling

The Issue

Many people suffer reactions to eating Alliums in food, ranging from headaches and lack of concentration to skin rashes, bowel irritation, hyperacidity, nausea, diarrhoea and general unease. This petition is to get Alliums listed as an official allergen by the National Food Standards Agency, so that these will be legally listed on food packaging if they exist in prepared food. Would you not like to know whether you are eating potential toxins?
