HEALTHY EATING IS A CIVIL RIGHT
We the undersigned are tired of living in a neighborhood that is systemically deprived of healthy choices. We demand that NY Federal, State and City officials plus charities and foundations dedicated to Brownsville partner to provide Seeds in the Middle in collaboration with We The People 4 The People By The People at least $200,000 to pay for space, employment and training to build our FIRST locally-run healthy business by BROWNSVILLE residents TRAINED, EMPLOYED AND PAID to:
Run an AFFORDABLE farmers market, where EBT/SNAP buyers get double value up to $10 a day ($20 VALUE) + customers without EBT/SNAP get $5 free coupons if they spend $10 cash, Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle…
CREATE a community CAFE offering affordable nourishing meals and take-out plus juices and smoothies and snacks that are low-sodium, low-sugar and delicious to allow us to overcome food and health disparities
Local vendors can sell their health items, crafts and fashions to promote our local creatives and small businesses
Seeds in the Middle in collaboration with We The People 4 The People By The People will provide healthy spaces to live and learn. Our children do not deserve to be sentenced to diabetes, heart disease, premature death due to unhealthy food. Fund them now.
