Bread companies should package 10 hot dog buns instead of 8 hot dog buns

The Issue

There are millions of Americans who eat hotdogs every day. Most of us purchase hotdogs at the grocery store and they come in packages of 10. I believe most hotdog consumers would agree that 10 is a perfect amount of hot dogs to have on hand during the week. I sure wouldn't by anything less.

But hotdog consumers are faced with an ongoing issue that needs to be fixed. This issue is sucking up our wallets and leaving us in a never ending cycle of despair. What is this issue you ask?

The issue I am fighting for is that bread companies are taking advantage of the average hotdog consumer by only packaging 8 hotdog buns in a single package. This has left millions, if not billions, of hotdog consumers with two extra hotdogs. What do we end up doing? We have to purchase two hotdog bun packages. And who buys two packages of hotdog buns at a time? No one does because that would be too much bread.

The remaining 6 hotdog buns either goes stale and we throw them out. Or like most of us, we end up purchasing another 10 pack of hotdogs. Now where does that leave us? It would leave us having to buy another 8 pack of hotdog buns. See where I'm going with this? The cycle continues over and over until our pockets are dry and the landfills are filled with old stale hotdog buns. This might make the birds happy, but are they paying for our hotdog buns? The answer is no.

Please help support this petition to make bread companies use 10 hotdog buns in their packaging and get rid of the the 8 hotdog bun package. And on a side note, let's make it mandatory for all bread companies to slice the hotdog buns too. How hard is that? When you slice the hotdog bun at home, it's just not the same and you're left with crumbs and uneven sliced hotdog buns. Shame on you bread companies.
