Sonic Highways Season One was a great introduction to the music scenes in some of our great cities. But not all great music comes from big places. Muscle Shoals, Alabama is an amazing example of how one small town can inspire a great wealth of amazing music and bring something fresh out of an artist. From the Rolling Stones to Aretha Franklin, many of the greatest artists of the Rock n Roll era have discovered a new piece of themselves in this quiet town beside the Tennessee River. We would love to see what could happen today if Foo Fighters stopped in for a spell.
