In 2022 the parents of Fort Mill were sent a modified school calendar for the 2024-2025 school year. This calendar included a week long fall break, spring break and shorter summer calendar.

However, the district approved a school calendar for the 2024-2025 school year that in no way represents the calendar the parents were shown. Furthermore, the modified calendar the parents were sent was not shown to the school board during the televised meeting.

The parents of Fort Mill respectfully request the FMSD school board to revisit this decision with the full facts laid out and parents given the opportunity to voice their opinion with the potential of another vote being made for a calendar that works for the people the board serve.
