I am deeply concerned about the lack of fluoridated water in Wilton NY. Our town's water supply is managed by the Wilton Water & Sewer Authority (WWSA), and yet most areas it serves do not receive fluoridated water. This includes key institutions such as Dorothy Nolan Elementary, Ballard Elementary, Saratoga Hospital offices in Wilton, and over 9000 residents.

Fluoride is a crucial element for dental health. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drinking fluoridated water keeps teeth strong and reduces cavities by about 25%. Additionally fluoridation would save our residents almost $500,000 a year by avoiding preventable dental costs.  By not providing this essential service, we are denying our community members these benefits.

Our neighbors in Saratoga Springs have access to fluoridated water; why shouldn't we? It's time for WWSA to take action on this matter that affects us all so significantly. We deserve equal access to basic health measures like this one.
