It has been quite a while since the last update on the activities of La Luz Del Mundo (LLDM) and the status of the properties they purchased in our Flowery Branch community. The leader, Naason Joaquin Garcia (NJG) is still residing in the Los Angeles County jail, but other leaders are still continuing their manipulations and distortions of the truth in order to push the leader’s agenda for the “city” they would like to build in our town.
LLDM has continued silently to purchase properties in our town and in Gainesville, and encouraging their members to move here by telling them that they will be breaking ground soon. Sadly, the members do not realize that they are being lied to so they continue to give when the collections are taken. Some locations give times that members can drop off cash donations, and members are not given receipts or records of their contributions. The ministers tell them that they are moving forward with plans and that they need to give abundantly. They are not being told that there have been no further applications given to the city of Flowery Branch. According to the original deed for the property, there is a balance due on May 12th of this year so it is highly likely that funds are desperately needed to pay of whatever is left of that note. It is believed the exorbitant price tag of the legal representation for the leader is taking away from what might go towards the property fund. But be aware – LLDM has not gone away.
Not yet anyway.
In the legal arena, NJG is continuing to lead LLDM from his jail cell, with the assistance of his "Counsel of Bishops" on the outside. Alan Jackson, who represented Kevin Spacey in his legal issues is also representing the LLDM leader. Jackson is a former prosecutor and Assistant Head Deputy at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, and his skills in finding loopholes for criminal defense have been sought out by the disgraced leader. Jackson filed an appeal stating that his client’s rights were violated, in that he was not given a second chance to waive his rights to a timely trial after three additional charges were added. On April 7th, the Appellate Court ruled in favor of the defense on this procedural matter and thus the case would be dropped. However, the leader will remain in jail until the next hearing date. It is highly likely that the Attorney General’s office will refile the case, as the charges were not in question, only the procedural issue was the cause for the dismissal. The next hearing is scheduled for June 8th.
In Mexico, authorities began taking their own actions. News broke in March that “the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) of Mexico, revealed that they have frozen almost 20 million dollars in bank accounts linked to members of the La Luz del Mundo church.” (see article https://world-today-news.com/mexico-freezes-almost-20-million-in-accounts-linked-to-members-of-the-la-luz-del-mundo-church-univision-latin-america-news/
Further reports came out regarding the suspicions of money laundering, unreported taxes, purchases of land, houses, and many large financial transfers. (see article https://www.razon.com.mx/opinion/bibiana-belsasso-luz-del-mundo-y-lavado-de-dinero/_ - note: this article is in Spanish, but can easily be translated by your browser, and it is a very compelling article) This should also give enough reason why an organization should not be permitted to bring their corruption here.
LLDM has not given up on their ludicrous idea of a “city” here within our own community. Sunday April 26th there were announcements going out throughout the country asking members to give to the city project. The deed documents for the property state that the remaining amount of 3.2M would be due by May 12, 2020. It is unknown what the current balance owed of that amount is, but it would make sense that they would be attempting to collect money from their members. In a video by Human Rights Watch Group, Naason Joaquin Garcia’s financial activities are exposed, showing how the leader of LLDM invested the money of the hardworking, blinded members to make a fortune for himself and his family and support their grossly lavish lifestyle. Naason Joaquin settled $ 70 million using the financial structure of the LLDM Church. (Note: the video is done in Spanish, but it is very well done, and the words can be translated easily using an translator app) And also a video (in English) revealing how the Joaquin family amassed their wealth at the expense of the members Naason Joaquin and his fraudulent scheme to scam millions of dollars out of his flock The author of this update strongly states that there is nothing wrong with financial prosperity so long as it is done in an ethical, legal, and moral way. Misappropriating funds, human trafficking, pornography, and conversion do not fall under the guidelines of ethical, legal, and moral principles.
Law & Crime Network has been following the developments and given great coverage on the hearings as well as interviews with some of the brave exmembers who were willing to speak out. For those of you who have not had an opportunity to see any of these news clips:

Citizens of Flowery Branch, Hall County, Georgia, and the United States – this is not simply just a community issue. This is also a state and national issue. There are other properties around the world earmarked for cities like the one in our town. If they are allowed to come here, they will not stop at one. They will build others. So please share this with everyone that you know anywhere in the country. If we don’t stand up and fight, they will continue their attempts to purchase properties in the area and convince their members to move here. If enough can move here, they can vote according to how they believe – which is very heavily influenced by LLDM. This author would also point out that the battle is not with the members who are blinded by the cloud of LLDM. Many of them are very humble, hardworking people who are simply lost and do not know truth because they were indoctrinated from birth. The battle is with the leadership of LLDM and it is our job to encourage our city, county and state leaders to stand up for what is best for our community, our county, our state, and our nation. THAT is how the battle will be won.
The hearing on June 8th will likely bring more information, and another update will follow to keep the community informed.
Stay vigilant. Stand Strong.
Truth always prevails.
