LLDM has been making its presence known in our county as of late. They have been sending what they believe is the ”politically right" person, their PR rep, into the City of Gainesville. It has been reported that LLDM begins their exploration of searching for political figures, and eventually is able to sway decisions their way. Their recent actions represent the beginning of their strong push into our city and our county.

 As citizens, there is strength in numbers.  This is a time to stand up and put action to the words that have been spoken on this petition and elsewhere. There is an election for a seat on the Flowery Branch city council in June. So the question is, will we stand up and make sure that a right person is voted in who cares about the citizens and our community?

  Every person who reads this - call the officials who have been appointed to look out for us. Email the office, write them, ring the phones off the hook and make sure that they KNOW how the people of Flowery Branch AND HALL COUNTY AND THE STATE OF GEORGIA feel about this rezoning application. If this rezoning application is approved, it will have an irreversibly negative impact on the entire region by burdening our infrastructure and introducing incompatible land uses. Flowery Branch is a welcoming community, but when a land use is proposed that will have such a significant negative impact on our community, we will not stand idly by and let this happen.

    LLDM has already sent in a rezoning application - incomplete and threatening litigation if they are denied. Rezoning applicants need to know that they can't just barge in and build their own 'city' when and how they want to, and then threaten legal action if they are not permitted to do so. Ladies and gentlemen... that is what BULLIES do.  Fight for your homes and city - fight for your families and your children.

 This is not a game, and it isn't playtime -   that time is over.

   Listed at the bottom of this update is a link that will take you to the list of names and contact numbers of those who need to hear from us - on the city, county, and state level.  You will also find a copy of documents threatening to sue if LLDM doesn’t get what they want.  It’s Time to take action.  It's up to us to make the difference.
