I attend Florida State University and due to a plethora of sexual assault and rape allegations that have been transpired via social media I have taken it upon myself to start this petition that demands Florida State should implement a general education requirement for all incoming students to take a Title IX based course talking about the ins and outs of consent, sexual assault, and different forms of identity discrimination. This is just a step in the right direction of making sure that students are properly educated and ensuring that the university is keeping the safety and well-being of students its first priority. Many students lack education and knowledge when it comes to this topic and therefore should be further educated on the matter. This issue on the forefront of the university's agenda but they are not taking the appropriate measures in doing so. Please share this petition and note that you are taking the steps and measures in helping so many victims feels prioritized right now. Thank you!
