Why is it easier for a father to have nothing to do with their children, than for a father who wants to be a part of their children's lives?

This petition hopes to bring this inequality before the Florida State Senate, with the intention that by reviewing this legislature the Senate will amend the law to reflect the equal rights of parents.

Fathers who choose to be a part of their children's lives pay thousands of dollars and lose the opportunity to witness and be a part of their child's development. While deadbeat dads simply sign a form and walk away.

Children deserve both parents in their lives;the system (Department of Revenue - Department of Children and Families) and the legislation in place, go against that concept. At the end of the day, it is the children who suffer the most.
