Florida out of all of the states in the country has the lowest paying salary for a State Trooper. I don't think this is fair because of all of the risks they take protecting the citizens and visitors of the state of Florida and that the salary paying our Troopers should at least be between $60,000 and $80,000 a year just like in the other states north of us. My goal is to at least see the salary raise to $60,000 a year at least, just for those graduated from the Academy. And at least $20,000 - $30,000 a year for those in the Academy. I hoping by making this change that shortage on State Troopers end and that there will be more Troopers patrolling the roadways and responding to accidents.
