OneWheel Trail Advocacy started this petition to Florida State Parks and

We must advocate for Onewheels to be allowed on the FL state park Mountain biking trails. www.onewheel.com is a new sport (onewheel racing league) and because of that, people don’t understand it and are in turn “afraid” and blocking access.

In fact just this week Alafyia River State Park posted on it social feed that onewheels were illegal. Why? We have been given no valid reason. In fact this happened behind closed doors as I have been writing trying to find out when this meeting was being held with no success.

I want to help people understand how powerful this sport is for teens. My son is 15 and it’s his life, he lives on the trails, just won a race in NV, #3 in men’s pro division out of 250 riders & has 15K miles on his board in a few short years. He is obsessed with camping, nature, and trails because of his onewheel which allows him to explore, challenge himself and have fun. Check him out at www.noahbild.com or Instagram @noah.bluerider and then help me understand how to explain to Noah that he can no longer ride or train on these trails.

When mountain biking first began it was misunderstood as well and now it’s mainstream. 99% of riders, just like bikers are respectful. We pull over for bikers, walkers, etc. We are more than willing to help clean up, work on trails, support the system in any way we can and to be part of the community.

Please help us fight this ban. The impact of this new sport, has changed many other teens, veterans, & adult’s lives. People literally are using it to combat depression. Out west, MTB parks have realized that onewheels pack down the dirt on the trails for bikers making it a symbiotic relationship.

You can also see other kids- FB or Instagram One Wheel Kids (they and Noah love to ride Alafia and Santos to train). We just launched on Instagram @onewheelteen to get more kids into the sport but how do we do that when there is nowhere for them to ride and challenge themselves? We can’t drive out to California or Georgia every time we want to train and ride. I just don’t understand and have been given no good reason that is legitimate other than people not knowing what it is or understanding its capabilities.

Let’s mobilize. Please sign this petition right now and share it on your feed with as many people as possible in or out of state because this is a problem in other places as well. Thank you!
