As the 2022 legislative session comes to an end on March 11th, this bill once again died in committee. Unfortunately, our elected legislators who headed the committees, where this bill should have been given the respect to be heard, was NOT put on their agenda!  

During this campaign we teamed up with the students at Seminole High School who formed the Wildlife Conservation Club and have done tremendous work throughout the state in bringing attention to the Florida Scrub-Jay. They have secured many endorsements, met with several legislatures, testified before the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and will be meeting with the Governor's office later this month. 

We continue our joint efforts and have many other presentations and meetings set up in achieving our goal for the Florida Scrub-Jay!

Our focus now shifts to achieving our goal for the 2023 legislative session which allows us more time to secure additional support and endorsements. We have learned many things during this campaign that will only help us in our communications and strategy with the legislature.

We thank each and every one of you who have supported this campaign and to please not give up. We need all of you to continue sharing this petition and speaking about the campaign.  WE WILL GET THIS DONE!
