The Florida Legislature resumes their session tomorrow (Jan. 11th). We have been doing all we can to drum up support for the Florida Scrub-Jay to be listed as our "official" state bird including taking some of our representatives on hikes to see and learn about the Scrub-Jay.

The bill first has to be heard and passed in committee so it will get to the floor for a vote.  We appreciate all the endorsements and resolutions received by numerous organizations and municipalities and especially are grateful for all of you who have signed and promoted this petition.

We DO NOT want this bill to die in committee, so we are again asking for your support in pushing this petition on all of your social media platforms in order to secure additional signatures.
