The state of Florida is passing a bill that would not only ban discussion of LGBTQ history or persons in school. This bill also requires that teachers and administrators would be required to disclose sexual orientation and gender identity to their parent or guardian. This would make many LGBTQ students higher risk for abuse and/or suicide. This is a great deal when many youth only have school as a place to have a break from home.
