Using renewable energy is the most impactful way that we as individuals can reduce our effect on our environment. Everyone should have the choice of using clean renewable energy over coal or nuclear.

As it stands now Solar PV (photovoltaic) is only available to those who own their own home. Out of these homeowners some won’t qualify because of mitigating factors such as improper roof orientation, roof size, shading issues, deed restrictions or even aesthetics. Also there is an increasing amount each year of those who are renting instead of purchasing.

The Florida Solar Farm sidesteps limiting factors to invest in Solar PV by letting anyone purchase a solar PV "plot" and then assign that generated solar power to a particular address. Under this model anyone can own solar power.

What do the citizens of Florida need? We need legislation enacted to establish a pilot program for the Florida Solar Farm.
