The Issue

January is Animal Abuser Registry Month! Signing this petition will help us show the Representatives in Tallahassee that we ALL want and NEED a statewide animal abuser registry!
What Marion County Florida  residents lovingly know as "Molly's Law" is working it's way through the state legislation process. SB1806/HB1341 Animal Abusers was filed by Rep. Kristen Arrington and
Senator Shevrin Jones!
Both Hillsborough County and Marion County already have successful Animal Abuser Registries. A registry can place restrictions on a convicted animal abuser to own, adopt, live with or work with animals. The majority of counties do not have any means to prevent
animals from being adopted out to prior abusers. This registry would be most successful at a
statewide level. Animal shelters, rescues, pet stores, and other organizations would benefit greatly from this resource, which will save countless animals from abuse and possibly death
It's about time we have a state registry like this!
Here is the bill:
HB 1341 (2022) - Animal Abusers | Florida House of Representatives (myfloridahouse.gov) www.bit.ly/3nZrt6E
Thank you to Rep. Kristen Arrington (Osceola) and
Senator Shevrin Jones (Broward / Miami-Dade) for standing up for this bill and bringing it to the attention of the Florida house! You can thank them at

Molly's Law History: Before her rescue, Molly was previously beaten and stabbed. She is a Labrador/Boxer mix. 7 years later, Molly is now healed and well-loved and is well known as the Ambassador for this cause and she resides in Central Florida. The county commissioners and the community recognized the need for the registry in Marion County and backed this movement whole heartedly. Animal abuse leads to Human abuse in a high percentage of offenders.
Our goal is to make this a national movement and Florida is a great starting point! Visit Molly of
Molly's law on Facebook to see how well she is doing. Writing your representatives TODAY is a great place to start because they are in session now!
Please sign this petition and share it far and wide!
