Please help us stop State from putting a Roundabout at SR 44 and Grand Ave in Deland. There is a need for a permanent light to slow and or stop traffic accidents at that intersection, Though a Roundabout is a bad idea. SR 44 is a Highway that is heavily traveled on a daily basis by Big Trucks with Trailers, Semi Trucks and Heavy Commercial Vehicles. It is the only road that travels from Deland into Lake County. A Roundabout will cause more confusion and more accidents. A Light will fix the problem, Not create one.I also wanted to add something to this .MOTORCYCLES .there many motorcyclist that travel this road from lake country to Daytona. And many of meet up at circle k before going on their rides.so your gonna have sometimes 20 to 30 bikers on Grand ave trying to make a left around a roundabout who will now have the right away now my question is will driver's on 44 know to yeild to those riders or will someone on a bike or bikes get hit. Even at a slower speed they could be fatality hurt .So those of you who ride take this into consideration.
