Since receiving your email, we have been in contact with the FDOT regarding this intersection at 41 and Corradino Blvd. On September 21st, the FDOT had a meeting to discuss the issue and my liaison there said he would have more information for us later in the week. Amy, I have spoken with our Traffic Operations staff and engineers and I can tell you that the Department has not made a decision yet about the intersection of US 41 and Corradino Blvd. / Galeria Blvd. We will be making an improvement to the intersection and are currently looking at both a traffic signal and a roundabout, but we still have some work to do to determine which is the best design for the intersection. I wanted to provide you with some information on the benefits of roundabouts, since they are becoming more popular around the country, including in Florida. • Roundabouts result in fewer and less sever crashes.
