A traffic light (not a roundabout) needs to be installed at the entrances of IslandWalk and Gran Paradiso of the West Villages along US41/Tamiami Trail before someone gets seriously hurt! It is a dangerous intersection currently with cars regularly traveling at speeds in excess of 55mph (the speed limit in that section).

FDOT wants a roundabout. This isn't even a typical intersection, as it is entrances to two gated communities entering onto a highway. Those of us (like me) who do not feel comfortable utilizing a roundabout can usually avoid them in most instances by using different routes. The FDOT plans for multiple roundabouts along the corridor will make that a virtual impossibility. It is time that residents' safety is addressed and the traffic signal is given 'the green light' by FDOT.
