Hi, everyone. We reached a milestone 500 signatures this evening. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! As many of you know, the Venice Gondolier Sun ran an article this morning confirming that a roundabout is planned instead of a traffic light at the entrances of IslandWalk and Gran Paradiso. One of the issues with this plan, as mentioned in the article by Marty Black, is that a roundabout is 'three times' more expensive to install than a light. Lennar and Pulte are responsible for light installation, but I am not sure if they are solely responsible for a roundabout or not. Marty is asking who will be obligated to pay for that difference. To me, this signals (pun intended - wink wink) potential further delays in implementation of safety measures while that gets sorted out. That, to my mind, is unacceptable. This has been dragged out for years already. Intervention is needed. The first attempts at contact resulted in no response from our local representatives or from the Governor. Hopefully, hitting the benchmark 500 signatures will make a difference. I will attempt to contact them again during the week this coming week. Thank you all again for your participation and support!
