It has come to our attention that Ted Nugent was issued a permit to hunt Black Bears in the State of Florida. Documentation of Nugent's violation of The Lacey Act and illegal kill of a Black Bear in Alaska to which he plead guilty and entered a plea deal. 2nd His violations in California which accumulated 11 violations for baiting young bucks that was just beginning to get their spikes and shooting them while filming. I quoted from Findlaw ( Nugent, the rocker from the '70s, was charged with 11 misdemeanor hunting violations. His Outdoor Channel show, "Spirit of the Wild," features him hunting. Two California game wardens were watching his February 9th episode and were surprised to see him allegedly violate multiple California hunting laws. The wardens apparently saw Nugent kill a "spike" buck, a young buck with short antlers. It is illegal to kill spike bucks in California. The deer also appeared to be feeding on commercial deer bait, which is illegal to use for hunting in California. The Department of Fish and Game investigated, and concluded that the material was in fact commercial deer bait.) Is this the kind of person our hunters want hunting beside them in Florida ? Is this the kind of person Tax payers want running through our forest with a gun ?
