We, the undersigned, assert that as members of Florida communities, we therefore should by the local police departments, be treated as community members and protected as part of our communities’ social contracts. In requiring that attention be paid to our humanity by police departments and their representatives, we proclaim that black and brown bodies do not constitute reasonable suspicion, probable cause, and guilt of criminality. To iterate this appeal, we require police officers be held accountable when they violate persons’ legal and human rights. 

To this end, we, the undersigned, require that community led task forces as part of third party initiatives be implemented to provide oversight of grievances concerning police misconduct, violations of law and brutality, including unreasonable and therefore unlawful stops and detention, verbal and physical violent interaction with members of the public, and the killing of civilians. In response to accusations and charges of police misconduct, violations of law and brutality, the agencies would be charged with reviewing, investigating, and holding police officers accountable through disciplinary action and corrective steps taken by the Florida police departments.
