Daniel Granizo started this petition to Florida Board of Governors

Hello, my fellow stressed students! By now we're all well aware of the pandemic that's plaguing our daily lives and making many people worry. And for a senior, it's all the more stress. You see I have a dilemma as I'm sure many of you do. I want to get accepted into a public university, in Florida. But what makes this all the more difficult is that I don't have test scores. I'm going to be completely honest, I don't want to take it. But I have to if I even want to be considered for a Florida university. I live in Miami though, and every testing center is being closed. So even if I wanted to take the test I can't. And I wouldn't be able to afford out of state tuition. But if they were to open I am not comfortable with the idea of risking me and my families health for a test. I don't want to bore you with this sob story so I will list reasons as to why Florida's public universities should go test-optional:
-Florida has a high number of cases that keep rising.
-Many universities especially Californias have gone test-optional.(MONTHS AGO!!!)
-College Board continues to urge Colleges/Universities to go test-optional.
- FairTest has given proof that many Universities have done better without standardized testing. (Which ADD MORE TO WHY THEY SHOULD GO TEST OPTIONAL)
-Florida's Universities have URGED to go test-optional. (To who is unclear but I am assuming the Board of Governors)
-It will be a remarkable change in Florida's Education System. (WHICH IS GOOD)
-It will lower the risks of getting infected with COVID for students.
- They have made weak excuses as to why they won't go test-optional.
-Lowers stress for many students.
