A student otherwise known as Rico, has been allowed to live on campus after being removed over the summer term of 2021 for alleged acts of sexual assault done to a female living in the dorms. Ricardo has allegedly raped a female student in July of 2021 and currently has a restraining order placed against him from the female. Charges are currently pending and under investigation. The school is aware of Rico’s actions, yet allowed him a spot to live on campus while there is a waitlist of students waiting for on campus housing. Ricardo lives in Glades Tower on the Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University campus. As students we believe Rico needs to be removed from campus and given the remote option for class or the ability to commute, but FAU should NOT allow a student with allegedly 1 pending sexual assault charge live on campus and put more and more girls at risk.
