We are Phyllis and John Basile, the daughter and son of the owner of Tower Plaza Shopping Center, located at 1445 Concord Parkway in Concord, North Carolina.The reason for this petition is to save our family legacy and community shopping center. We have been notified by the N.C. State Dept. of Transportation that there are plans to build a road directly through our shopping center. Our family has history in the Concord Community and if they continue with their plans, our family will be destroyed and our family's legacy will be  brought down along with the building. 

We are not naive to the fact that this road will be built. We're only objecting to where they would like to build. My Dad made an extra effort to erect a shopping center that adds to the allure of this community and he is very proud of this fact. We have been here for over 25 years with the center being full since we opened. The state has its ideas and we just ask that you please give us some of your time to hear ours.
