Kingaroy General Hospital is run down and at capacity.  The world war II built facility is outdated and needs upgrading or a new facility built to replace it.  The low socioeconomic demographics of the South Burnett sees majority of the 33,000 community members using this facility.  Better facilities to attract more doctors and specialists means less need for patents to travel to other regions and results in savings of travel allowances.  A better equipped and staffed emergency department could save the government the costs of medevac flights for patients to other hospitals in the South East.  Upgraded facilities could also allow the hospital to access private health fund patients and increase revenue for the hospital.  #fixourhospital
