Fix the Phone Policy

The Issue

We, the undersigned, call on the Oakwood School Board to revoke the newly implemented student personal communication device policy.

This policy is out of touch with student realities. It creates unnecessary work, disrupts communication, and eliminates opportunities to teach responsible technology use.

We believe:

Teachers should continue managing device use in their own classrooms.

Students should have access to phones during non-instructional times like passing periods and study halls.

Policies that impact students should be created with students, not just for them.

Add your name to support revoking the current policy and creating one that works for everyone.
