We need to curve inflation and at the same time keep our nations supply chain moving!! Our nations truckers have been the back bone of our country and our unsung heroes. Unfortunately greedy brokers have been breaking our truckers every year, year after year! With today’s technology the broker system is obsolete. Federal law requires brokers in the middle of transportation contracts and that just does not make sense! We can curve inflation by eliminating this process and allow booking load boards to work directly with shippers and receivers. Also set a minimum rate for carrier companies at 2/3 of the cost of 1 gallon of fuel in a loads area per mile. (meaning if the cost of fuel is $5 per gallon then minimum rate for carriers in that area would be $3.33 per mile) that is fare because the brokers have carriers moving our nations supply chain and at times more often than not they are only paying gas money. No profit meaning Slave Labor!! Our Congress, Senators and State Governor’s have the ability to make a change for a critical, and most important issue our country is facing today. Inflation and supply chain have our country spiraling toward another recession and the country’s best economists say this recession can be worse then any recession we’ve ever seen. We should not allow a freight brokers  greed to abuse our trucker and force our country into a recession while they get rich. The proof is public, brokers earnings are hitting record highs quarter after quarter while we see rates for truckers dropping quarter after quarter forcing carrier companies out of business then that leading to more supply chain issues. We need regulations over brokers or eliminate brokers entirely. If we can do this we will never see a supply chain issue again, our nation’s carrier companies will not be forced out of business year after year forcing a manipulated shortage of drivers.
