More than 500 people from Toronto, five provinces and three countries signed the petition to “Fix the Broken Promises at Guild Park” on its launch day (Nov. 19, 2022)

This is an amazing response in less than 24 hours! A big thank you to everyone who's signed and shared this on-line petition. You really got the ball rolling!

Already there’s wide support for this petition.

Unsurprisingly, the majority (57%) of supporters are from Scarborough, with another 20% from other parts of Toronto. This petition has also gained support across the GTA, the rest of Ontario and as far away as B.C,, the U.S. and Europe.

Dozens of people took the time to post personal comments .Some are pleasant memories about enjoying meals and visits at the original Guild Inn. Others describe more recent, unhappy experiences, like getting shut out of this building - a tax-subsidized facility that operates in the heart of a historic public park.

To gain attention of City of Toronto officials, it’s important this petition shows how many people want the City to fulfill its promise - a promise that this beautifully-restored facility at Guild Park serves all Torontonians and everyone who visits this unique destination - where art meets nature.

Please continue to talk about this important issue with your friends, family and networks. Feel free to share this petition widely. That way more people get the opportunity to have a say in Guild Park’s future.
