Thanks to your support, we have some really exciting updates to share!

We have some really exciting news (this all comes courtesy of North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson). Firstly, Asda are expecting to start work on restoring the steps the week commencing the 20th of February. There were a few small issues, however this has now been settled and everything suggests it is full steam ahead from here.

In regards to the fountains, they have been surveyed, and now the costs are currently before the Exec Committee for approval (we will issue an update in due course when confirmation comes through).

In terms of the petition and Facebook page, we will remain live, though will roll-back on publicising it for now based on this news. As a mark of caution, we will not close either the petition or the Facebook page in case there are any delays in either coming to fruition. In the event the stairs are resolved but not the fountains, we will simply rename the petition and Facebook page and refocus our efforts from there.

Please do keep getting signatures where possible to encourage them on. It remains unknown whether these developments were thanks to our petition, or whether they were in the pipeline prior, we would like to think our work has helped move these plans into fruition.
