Fix Spam Reporting issue debilitating Call of Duty
The Issue
Starting about 1 month ago, Activision and the Call of Duty franchise made a change to the anti-cheating software that weighed the ability of someone reporting you as "cheating" higher than the anti-cheats ability to detect you are cheating.
In return, what we get is that when you best someone in a match, all they simply have to do is report you as cheating (even though you aren't) and you get shadowbanned, and removed from games.
I bet you spent over 100 dollars so far on this game haven't you? I have. I bet you don't cheat and you're likely even just a victim of someone else mass reporting your account in an attempt to gain an unfair advantage by removing you from the lobby, increasing their changes of winning the game.
Now, that sounds like cheating doesn't it? Yeah, I think so too.
Yet we punish the ones that are victims.
I think it's time we take a stand and Demand Activision remove the way the shadowban process works. Demand that we are not limited until proven guilty. Demand that for once, Activision listens to the players. Because what we have now is a broken game that we paid money for. We can't even enjoy this.
Remove the reporting system until the issue is resolved with the anti-cheat! Or Remove the negative impact of the shadowbanned system until proven guilty.
Update 1:
Today I was removed from Under Review and was able to play approximately 2 matches before I was immediately placed back into under review. I bet this too will also take another month.
