For those of you like me, who have grown to love the Shrek franchise, you understand the iconic connection we have with the characters and their original design. Shrek, Donkey, and the rest of the gang have grown with us through their distinctive styles that are now etched in our hearts. However, new changes planned for Shrek 5 could rob us of this treasured familiarity.

The characters that many of us have identified with are undergoing major changes in their animation style and character models. The characters we fell in love with seem like shadows of their past selves and, in the process, have lost the unique personalities that characterize them.
