Hello to who this may concern, My community of Laurel Indiana needs your help. It's been 5 years since we lost 6 people because of a bridge on the road that I live on collapsed, and two cars ran off of it into the raging water of the creek that day. Prior to this happening, inspection reports of the bridge indicated there were issues with the approach on the side that collapsed on 3/20/20, but nothing was done about it. I'm an army combat veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and I suffer from PTSD because of this, but my PTSD was elevated to extreme level on 3/20/20 as I helped my friend Josh Mosier recover his dead children from Sanes Creek after their mother Faline Lewis who also died that day drove off of the bridge that had collapsed on Sanes Creek Rd. Many people are still grieving yet today over this tragic loss we experienced that day and would like to see someone who is responsible for taking care of our roads to take action to permanently fix this bridge. Two years ago, I had exhausted all of my efforts to reach out to people in Office at that time to get help with this matter, and no one seemed to care enough to do anything about it. Today their are different people in Office, and I'm hoping they will care enough to do something about getting this bridge fixed permanently. There is a statue at the Laurel Elementary School of Three Children playing in a Circle along with 6 crosses beside the bridge that collapsed that reminds us daily of the six souls that departed from us that day. Can you please help give this community some closure by getting this bridge permanently fixed?
