The current condition of the Mudgee Pool falls short of meeting the increasing demands and standards of the community. It is imperative to introduce improvements to ensure a safer, more enjoyable, and inclusive swimming environment year-round for the Mid-Western Regional
Community.

We urge the Mid-Western Regional Council to promptly implement substantial measures to establish a facility accessible throughout the year, catering to the expanding requirements of our community and the diverse groups that would benefit from such amenities.

The provision of both an outdoor and indoor pool facility would enable year-round life-saving swimming lessons for our youth, afford competitive swimmers the opportunity for continuous training, aligning them with their counterparts.

Moreover, extended sporting group activities could be facilitated beyond the current two terms. Access to low-impact exercise facilities year-round would greatly benefit our aging population, rehabilitation patients, and athletes alike.

Recognising the possible constraints in funding and resources, we firmly believe that investing in our local pool constitutes an investment in the overall well-being and vitality of our community. A new pool complex would not only draw more visitors but also promote community involvement and healthy lifestyles through aquatic activities and events.
