Update on my ODSP application:
After contacting my MPP, Alexa Gilmour, their office reached out to the Ministry on my behalf — and my application has now been expedited.
I’ve been told I should receive a decision by the end of next week.
I’m extremely grateful for their help.
But here’s the part that doesn’t sit right:
I was originally told it would take up to 80 business days just for my file to be assigned — until pressure was applied.
That raises a bigger question:
If my case could be expedited, how many others are still waiting months just to be reviewed?
This isn’t just about me anymore.
I’ve started a petition to:
- push for changes to these delays
- and collect real timelines from others going through this
