Thank you to everyone who signed the petition so far! Despite what people may think, change starts with us and calling our city officials into action. We voted them in, it's their duty to take care of us.

I emailed Ward 3 Rep, Councilor Todd Kobus, this morning and got a quick reply:

Hi Brianna,

I've just forwarded your email to the mayor and the DPW superintendent and asked for more details regarding the Lindsey Street project.. There seems to be some confusion regarding this project; the entire street is slated to be repaved. However, to ensure an even surface, there's apparently a waiting period to allow the ground to settle after the water main replacement, including a full freeze/thaw cycle.

I am following up with the mayor to get more details and will share updates as soon as I hear back.

It's great that he replied quickly and escalated this further, but the Mayor and DPW superintendent have known about this for years, even before the water main was replaced. So much has been neglected in our city, and we still need to hold them accountable instead of shrugging off lip service. I urge you to keep sharing the petition with your circle! Thank you!
