Fix Lindsey Street Before Someone Gets Hurt

The Issue

We, the residents of Attleboro (ward 3b), are calling on Councilor Todd Kobus and the City Council to prioritize urgent repairs to Lindsey Street. The road is in a severe state of disrepair, with multiple potholes, crumbling pavement, and dangerously uneven surfaces.

This is not just about improving the look of a street — it’s about safety. Every day, families rely on Lindsey Street to get to school, walk their dogs, and go for strolls. School buses use this road. Children, parents, and seniors walk along it. If a driver hits a pothole or swerves to avoid one, it could result in a serious accident. We’re looking at a tragedy waiting to happen.

Many of us have already experienced near-misses and vehicle damage. We’re asking our City to take immediate action before someone gets hurt.

On January 3, 2024, Councilor Kobus stated: “It’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work.” We agree — this is work that needs to happen now.

We urge Councilor Kobus and the City Council to:

1) Assess Lindsey Street as a priority for repair
2) Allocate funding to fully repave the road
3) Provide a clear timeline for improvements

We stand united as neighbors who care about our safety, our families, and the wellbeing of our community. Please hear our call — and let’s get to work. Thank you.
