Fix Internet Censorship in FCPS!

Fix Internet Censorship in FCPS!
The Issue
As most students know, FCPS provides their students with access to educational devices such as computers. These devices have access to a censored version of the internet to protect students from potentially harmful websites and distracting programs. This may sound wonderful, but at this point it is out of hand. FCPS has blocked websites like usartisticswim.org, the website for the national artistic swimming team, Spotifiy, a music streaming app, Scratch, a children's coding website FCPS once partnered with, Getty Images, a royalty free image website, even SoundClound, a website with free music to be used in videos. FCPS also provides a censored version of YouTube, with educational videos banned for no reason, like a lot of Nile Red's (a chemist teaching the world about chemistry) content. This unessential banning has led to more unblocked websites to pop up, hosting pirated games, movies and proxies. Instead of encouraging internet safety, FCPS is making it worse. Because of the hyper censored internet, the only thing I see when I enter a classroom is children playing on illegal websites, because they have no other option! All I ask is for FCPS to reconsider some of the website and videos that are banned, and do what's right.
