The residents of Hudson Bay Saskatchewan need your support.

For years our small forestry community has filled Saskatchewan government coffers with our taxes and stumpage fees. Especially in todays climate where board prices are soaring. Hudson Bay citizens, and companies have put millions in the provincial governments bank account. 

But in the last decade or so our highways, particularly Highway 9 south of Hudson Bay, have fallen into third world conditions. We have cracked CAA’s worst highways list 3 separate times. Every spring the frost leaves and we are left with craters, ruts, sharp edges where the shoulder have crumbled to dust. This results in thousands of dollars in car damage, roll overs, and could one day take a life.

We’re calling on the current Saskatchewan Minister of Highways Hon. Jeremy Cockrill. As well as our previous Minister of Highways and MLA in charge of Hudson Bay, Fred Bradshaw to step up and get Highway 9 made a priority. To date, that highway is not on any list to be fixed for years and this is unacceptable.
