I, Ian Drummond, have lived next door to the ESP Rogers Reserve for decades and have seen its steady decline into a state of disrepair. It breaks my heart to see the state this public space is in right now, especially when I remember how it was in the 80's - a thriving community hub where families and children gathered and played. The current condition of the reserve is unacceptable. The ground is covered with bark, dead pigface, and other debris that attracts pests like cockroaches, spiders, and mosquitoes. It's not just an eyesore but a health hazard, too.
For the sake of our community which has suffered for years from this issue, we need immediate action to restore the condition of the ESP Rogers Reserve. It's time to bring back the lovely football games and family gatherings that once made this park the heart of our community. We, the undersigned North Haven rate payers, therefore petition for the regrassing of the ESP Rogers Reserve. Not only will this make the park safer and cleaner, but it will also provide our children and grandchildren with a beautiful space for play and togetherness, thereby adding value to the lives of all in our community.
