423 signatures

This is another unscheduled update that we have broken the 422 signature stall today on July 28th and are sitting at 423 signatures.

The only reason my parents have never allowed me to use social media is because they worry as I am on the autistic spectrum (despite being a full fledged adult). They do know I use change.org but only to sign other people's petitions (which is true because I do just that in addition to running this campaign).

My next update will be when we close for our week off and have made the difficult decision not to log in to change.org until then and resist temptation to see if my signature count gets stuck - we may or may not gain an extra signature before our week off to reset and start Phase 2 afresh.

In June we gained roughly 40 signatures (compared to around  110 from March, April and May) and this month alone we have only managed to amass 14 signatures so have had to realistically change my goals because I know I cannot reach 500 signatures by August 31st as originally planned so have extended the deadline to hit 500 by December 31st, and the deadline to hit 1,000 by January 1st 2028.

During our week off, ALL my active campaigns will be closed so NONE of my active campaigns will be advertised and promoted during that time to free up change.org to advertise other people's petitions (yes, even my new spinoff petition, which is now comfortably sitting at 23 signatures after a slow start)!
