Above is the link to the petition you absolutely need to sign and do not delay to keep status quo on your current property tax bill. The legislature is actively trying to write language to remove Prop 13 to make all of your property taxes be market rate. This doesn’t involve a death to increase your property taxes. This also applies to rentals, so if you have had a rental or property for a long time, those will be reassessed to current year market rate property taxes like you just bought them. This will be devastating if we do not get enough signatures to get this on the ballot to pass. Everyone needs to wake up!
Also, if you vote in Santa Clara County, vote for Rishi Kumar. He is aligned with what we want to keep and fix. We want someone like him who supports fixing prop 19 and wants to keep prop 13….
